So day off to celebrate one of my good friend's birthday today. Went to her house to open her present which we got her a giant lightpad (makes things easier to redraw like if you see em animators tables) and I got her a tote bag with Mickey on it. We went to go a bit to try rock climbing...and to say I don't have that much upperbody strength lol...that and my shoulder was acting up and kinda rub my hands raw.
Then we went to eat at The Lazy Dog which was a cute place (full of dog pictures) to eat. I got steak while others got pasta and it was quite good. Had a rootbeer float too and it was delicious
After...we were next to the movies so we went and watched Monsters University and while it doesn't quite have the feel like the first movie, it in its own right was good in a sense of story. It was a little more on the lines of Cars in terms of story plot where ya know which direction the movie is going but it was rather predictable in that you can probably guess whats going to happen but with a little twisting. It had a good message though at least this is the message I got out of it: There are goals in life that one would set...but no matter how much you do to get there...there will is always a measure of failure attach to it. That doesn't change who you are and that we are all different with unique abilities that can be exploited to reach your goals...even if ya need to have a bit of compromise to reach it. Over all it was a great movie to sit with my friends and enjoy a good pixar film
When that was done we went off to a japanese supermarket where we kinda just snacked and then went back to friends place and enjoyed a nice walk with her dog and watched Once Upon A Time...shows addicting...
Then a nice little outing at Genkis a nice little crape place with a few jap dishes which I oped for a Taiyaki and takoyaki since I had icecream at home to fill my icecream needs
Now I am uber tired at home....but knowing me I never rest well so I went to work more on my shoulder lighting
totally didnt see the reference on it so its not quite like the pictures...but at this point I dont really care...gonna see if I can just get this done before comic con...since apparently before anime expo would be a no go
This has 5 lights on each shoulder piece which makes it 10 leds and I am still trying to figure out how many batteries I want to use...I am torn between three 9v or two 9v + two AA....I tried to power 5 leds with one 9v and it wasnt powerful enough to light them all....so back to the drawing board heh...which means more batteries on me!
